• ROU-12914 - Now, OutSystems Charts will be using the latest major version of their library provider - Highcharts 13.0.0 (2026-06-11). 
  In this release, we have updated the Highcharts modules that serve as the basis for our blocks. If you use any other Highcharts resources, please update them to the same version for consistency. As part of this update, the HighContrastDark and HighContrastLight static entity entries have been discontinued and consolidated into a single, unified HighContrast entry within the HighchartModules static entity.
  
  This version also brings some changes:
  • Adaptive theming engine: Highcharts 13 introduces a new CSS-based color palette with light and dark schemes, and charts now follow the browser's dark-mode preference automatically. OutSystems Charts pins its default colors (legend, axes, grid lines, tooltips, stacked-value labels, and the export button and menu), so existing charts keep a similar look regardless of the user's browser theme. Apps using Advanced Format can still adopt the new palette by setting the corresponding options explicitly.
  • Subtler tooltip border: The tooltip border is now a fixed light gray instead of the hovered series' color; the drop shadow provides the separation.
  • Consistent date labels: Highcharts 13 formats DateTime labels per browser locale; OutSystems Charts pins explicit formats to keep them consistent. Only ticks outside the data range change, showing the time (00:00) instead of the date (1 Jan).
  • Improved data labels: Data point values get better contrast and positioning.
  • Advanced customizations: some APIs were removed in this major version - for example tooltip.getSharedTooltipData, which OutSystems Charts' built-in shared tooltips already replaced internally, so no action is needed for standard charts. If you inject your own formatters or CSS via Advanced Format, review them accordingly; note also that useHTML content is now wrapped in a div instead of a span.
