Quickly implement a chat in your application. Send and receive messages in real-time. (using Firebase). File sharing is currently not supported.

This component is not officially supported.

The In-App Chat component provides a chat experience.

Use it to implement a real-time chat in your application. Accelerate communication by quickly reaching team members and getting your message across faster and in an easy and integrated way.

The main features are:

Create a new chat
Exchange messages in real-time
Showing a list of users in a specific chat

It is fully compatible with Outsystems UI Themes and its customizations.

Exposed the Firebase Integration Web Block, this makes it possible to receive events and notifications even when the chat itself is hidden or not in use.
Added an additional event on the Chat block for "New Messages Received", so the parent page can take an action (such as playing a sound or updating an unread message count) when a new message arrives.
