Visual Studio Primary Interop Assemblies Installation Failed

Symptom: The OutSystems Platform Community Edition fails to install stating that the Microsoft Visual Studio Primary Interop Assemblies were not installed.

Cause: The OutSystems Platform Community Edition installer was not able to install the Microsoft Visual Studio Primary Interop Assemblies by itself.

Resolution: Manually install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86).

  1. Download and install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86) (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5582)

  2. Re-run the OutSystems Platform Community Edition installer.
