Is there any documentation or the flow of logic available on this?

Basically, I am trying to simulate the "Custom Taskbox" as in this component.

This component isn't updated since 2016, I would say that maybe it's better for you to contact a member of the team directly and see if they have any extra documentation, besides the information already provided in Overview tab.
