I'm referring to the OpenLayers map component when I ask if the component is ArcGIS compatible only?

I'm using the OpenLayers tutorial code and trying to get the component modified a little bit to load any other map tiles like listed here for example : https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tile_servers
