This was reported previously, but I'm curious if there is any thought to fixing this.  I absolutely love the component and it works like a dream on Android, but hasn't been updated since 2017 and it doesn't work properly on iOS.

Basically, there is a double-tap needed in iOS to be able to get the component to work and select items.  It's unclear to the user that this is the case, so it cause some bizarre unintended behavior.  Also, when tapping outside of the list, it doesn't close the list.
