New OutSystems Online Courses

Hello there!

I am happy to announce the launch of three new courses to make it easier for developers with a background in other technologies to learn OutSystems!

Getting Started with OutSystems for Frontend Developers: https://www.outsystems.com/learn/courses/168/getting-started-with-outsystems-for-front-end-developers/

Getting Started with OutSystems for Java Developers: https://www.outsystems.com/learn/courses/167/getting-started-with-outsystems-for-java-developers/

Getting Started With OutSystems for SQL Developers: https://www.outsystems.com/learn/courses/169/getting-started-with-outsystems-for-sql-developers/

Feel free to send us feedback here or you can also get in touch with us at knowledge@itup.pt

These three training courses were developed by ITUp (OutSystems Global Training Partner) together with OutSystems.

It was a challenge and a delight to be part of the process.
I hope you will enjoy it!

Cheers!

I see Java course mentioned in the above list. But recently, I heard that Java is not supporting OS 11 onwards. May be im wrong. Can you please clarify on this.

Hi Mahesh, and thank you Eduardo for posting about these!

Mahesh: you are correct. Indeed OutSystems 11 no longer supports Java.

These courses have a very specific, different goal and audience: these are courses to help developers who have previous experience in any of these languages - say, Java, SQL, or traditional front-end development languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript - to better learn OutSystems.

Instead of experienced developers starting from scratch, in 1h-2h these courses will help map the common knowledge, language and frameworks from these into OutSystems so that new developers can then go through the normal Guided Paths with a better understanding of what OutSystems is all about, based on their previous experience.

They are not meant to be "how to use Java in OutSystems" or any of the others, but rather "if you know Java, I'll quickly help you get the overview of OutSystems and how it compares to what you know".

Hope this clarifies it, and do go through these courses and leave your feedback - they'll always help us keep improving the learning materials we have to better serve the community :)

Best,

Paulo

Interesting! With quite a good number of developers coming from PHP background (apart of .NET), it's a good start for them.
