In its current form, the component only supports text inputs and textareas. It would be nice if it could be extended to support also expressions or other non-input widgets.

I tried a few things and was able to have it copy expressions and even checkboxes (no idea why I tried that). 

Would it be an idea to extend the component in that direction?

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Indeed copying of expressions was not covered.

As I think it is a great add-on to the component I have uploaded a new version that covers also the copying of expressions to clipboard.
