Hello, fellow community members!
We are excited to announce the release of MABS 8.
Why should you choose this MABS version? Well, this new version targets Android 12 (API level 31) and iOS 15 SDKs.
Both Google Play Store and App Store will enforce these new versions when submitting new apps in 2022.
We recommend that you start building your mobile apps using MABS 8 as soon as possible.
Also, with this release, we have dropped the support for Android 6, Android 7, and iOS 12. For further details, please check MABS 8 release notes where you can also find breaking changes and known issues with our Beta release.
Please have a look at the toolchain used in MABS 8 here.
The documentation has been updated and we would like to reinforce that it’s MANDATORY to upgrade all supported plugins to the latest version available on the Forge in order to use MABS 8. For more details, please check the release notes.
Each latest plugin version is compatible with MABS 7 so you can continue using them as you transition to MABS 8 at your own pace. Upgrading should be as simple as performing 1-Click Publish without any further changes.
Want to start using it today? Follow these instructions, and let us know if you have any questions!
Thank you,Filipe Fernandes
Hi Filipe, thanks for the announcement. Can we please add something to the forge to get insight in what MABS version is supported by which component?
Hi Bas,
I created a few weeks back an idea to get this information added to the Forge component details

Hello @Bas de Jong, thank you for the suggestion. I've reviewed internally with the plugins' team and they're currently preparing to update the plugins' documentation with which versions support MABS 8. Older MABS versions should already be mentioned in the documentation under MABS Compatibility. PS: Daniel, the team has also added information about PWA compatibility
