Why cannot I upload a oml to the forum

Hello,

I have a little problem but as soon as I try to upload the .oml file I see a message that the format is not right.
I use Outsystems 11 community edition

he see,! although I got the error message, the oml is attached!
So try again, just drop the oml on the dropzone in your reply, ignore the error message and press the reply button.

Hi Roelof,

Are you sure you are talking about the forum? I can upload an OML without any problem.

Maybe you are talking about the OutSystems Forge? If that's the case, what you can upload is an OAP (an application file, which you can download on Service Center or in Service Studio). The idea is to respect a good architecture. A Forge component should be a reusable application, not a module which is mixed with other modules in the same application.

Kind Regards,
João

Hello roelof ,

if you are uploading on forum or forge or service studio then please try to do with the proper formatting means space or special char. don't used and
if you are particular asking for the service studio and still above solution doesn't work for you then raise a support ticket for the same

else, capture the screenshot for details so we can help you more to solved your problem.

Thanks and Regards,

Hi Roelof,

I tried an OML with the same name and it worked on this side. The problem is not the name but the file that seems to be corrupted.

But in any case, can you share with us what you have tried?

  • Have you tried changing the name and upload it?
  • Have you tried to download the file from Service Center and see if you can upload it here?

If you share details about your problem and what have you tried, it would make it so much more simple to help you rather than guessing.

Kind Regards,
João

Please rename your file name from neosocialplace_data-1.oml  to neosocialplace.oml  or without extension neosocialplace something like this

Please try to upload  another OML and if still you face same issue raise a support ticket and wait for at least 24 hours

Because As long as this file name also work for me here i have attached Screen shot for same

thanks and regards,

It's not big issue

May be due to some device you are facing this try to login on different device and upload

Else some outsystems issue is there may be they will fixed this soon

Or else raise a support ticket

Because in back days (2 month ago)

Two days I was also face issue like this but that time automatically from backend the issue was resolved

Thanks,

There is a limit on the size of the OML, in the past I got a message that it could not be more than 4Mb, not sure if that is still true.

That could not be a problem.

The image is some 800Kb

Hi Roelof,

I downloaded it. And when I try to upload here, I get the same error. Not sure why.

When I open the file in service studio there is one error to fix, added the .CombinedEntityMessageText

Cannot publish and share, because of IPP, as you shared this module not thru the Forum.

So make that fix yourself, and then try again.

Regards,

Daniel
