[BDDFramework Client Side] Installing Chromium manually

Hello everyone,

The module seems to try to download chromium by connecting to the internet, but most development and test environments do not allow connecting to the internet, so I'm having problem with installing chromium. The BDD Client module does not recognise the Chromium we installed manually, and putting installation files in the chromium-install folder did not work. Any help is appreciated.

If any developer is reading this, I wish there was a guide in the Documentation tab for manually installing Chromium.

Hi Mehmet Taha Aydin,

Thank you for reaching out!
We appreciate your feedback on having a guide for setting up chromium manually, for those use cases where the environment does not have access to the internet. We will take it into consideration and let you know once we have more news on that.

In the meantime to try and get you unblocked, can you provide us the absolute path of the directory where you added the chromium executable, as well as the path configured in the BDDFramework settings?

Thank you!

Hello Joao,

Thanks for the reply.

We went through the extension's code and got it to work eventually. But it took a lot of time and effort, and I think it's very common for development environments to not have access to the internet, so I still think it's necessary.
