Hello, fellow community members! 

We’re excited to announce a new release of OutSystems Developer Cloud. In this new version, we’ve made it easier to integrate with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases. We abstract the way you connect to an external database, allowing you to seamlessly integrate with these data sources, through an easy-to-use setup journey, and provide a unique data representation, regardless of the data source while addressing relevant non-functional requirements, such as performance and security.

Find the necessary steps below:

1. In ODC Portal, navigate to the Connections console, and select the database provider

2. Fill in the database details

3. Select the desired entities and attributes

4. In ODC Studio, open the Add Public Elements dialog and select the entities

5. All set!

What you should know before you start

It’s recommended to upgrade your ODC Studio to the latest version so that you can take advantage of this new integration feature. You can download it from your ODC Portal.
