We are currently experiencing a problem that has been described in other forum posts. While creating a PDF, it gets stuck with the following error messages:
"An error occurred while generating the PDF" and "An error occurred while generating the PDF for /DemoPDF: The underlying connection was closed: A connection that was expected to be kept alive was closed by the server."
To analyze this issue, we implemented a timer-based PDF creation. The results showed that most of the time, the PDF creation works fine, indicating that the setup seems to be okay. However, when the PDF creation gets stuck, every request leads to a timeout of 120 seconds. After 1 to 2 hours, the situation returns to normal, and the PDF creation takes only 2-3 seconds.
My idea now is to use the Ultimate Management Console to kill the Chromium process. After killing the Chromium process, the PDF creation goes back to normal. The question now is: Could my assumption be correct that the timeout is caused by a crash of the Chromium process? How can this be further analyzed?
Hi Leonardo10.0.4 , thank you so much for your support. The latest Version 10.0.4 helped a lot
Hi Peter. I suspect this was caused by a race condition which has been fixed in version 10.
Would you be able to upgrade and letting me know if that fixes this issue?
Hi Leonardo, thx for this information. I will upgrade and check the issue, sure.
Hi Leonardo, after the update we had several hours without timeouts and I was starting to get optimistic. But now the issue occured again. Any Ideas?
Hi Peter. Sorry to hear that.
Is there any chance that you could install Ultimate PDF Management, and produce a troubleshooting zip file? In this new version, it will include a browser.txt file containing internal logs from Google Chrome.
If you can't share the logs here publicly, please send me a private message and we'll communicate via email.
Thank you.
Just another idea, if you could please share the error logs that you find in Service Center including the stack trace.
