Add tooltip for drop-down values

Hi,

I added a search drop-down. Few values in the drop-down are very large and not fitting inside. I don't want to expand the drop-down widget. I just to want to expand the drop down values width or just add a tooltip. Please help.

instead of adding tooltip,you can use 

ellipsis property.
