Hi,
I only want to use the free version of CKEditor 5.
I have some questions that need your help to answer.
1. Do I need a licence from CKEditor to use this component?
2. If I get a free licence from CKEditor, how can I apply it to this component?
3. I have a Closed-Source Project so I think I don't need to comply with the GPL 2+, is that right?
Thanks!
Hello Hoi,
Please refer below page for licensing details, you can discuss your scenario with their sales team and they should be able to guide you better.

The forge components leveraging such open source components must add necessary documentation to guide the consumers.
Hope it helps!

As far as I know,
CKEditor is Open Source, so It can be used freely, even when your project is not Open-source.
Regards.
Yes, i have reached out recently and for a closed source project i need a commercial licence.
This is what I was expecting! Once you reach out to them and specify that you would be using for commercial purpose, it is very likely that they would tell you to get a licence. Usually I have seen people using it without licence, but it is not recommended if you want your product be legally safe.
Thanks
