AI を活用した日本語への、または日本語からの翻訳がフォーラムで利用できるようになった事を発表できることを大変嬉しく思います。
この機能により、ブラウザの言語を日本語に設定することで、日本のコミュニティはボタンを 1 つ押すだけでフォーラムの投稿を翻訳できるようになります。
日本語でコンテンツが見られるので、コミュニティがより身近になります。質問と回答の膨大なナレッジ ベースへのアクセスが容易になります。
日本語で書かれたコンテンツは、日本語を話さない人向けに英語に翻訳することもできるため、７０万を超える コミュニティ メンバー内でのシームレスな会話が可能になります。
継続的な改善の精神に基づき、今後次のことを計画しています。

Great feature but why only Japanse? And doesn't almost all browsers offer a native translation service?
For me this doesn't work, I like to scan posts in the list to decide if I want to take a closer look / spend time on it, that's not possible with these Japanese posts, so unless I'm in one of those 'I want to look at everything that comes onto the forum' moods, I just skip them.
So, probably a great improvement for Japanese people to be able to search and read in existing posts, but I think Japanese questions might not get answered as quickly or easily as those in English.
Also, you enable forum search in Japanese, maybe by translating the search term before executing, but anything that would be asked or answered in Japanese would still not show up in an English search ?
Hello Dorine, You will soon see the option to translate the forum list (it already exists for Japanese), so the scan will continue to work.
Our intention with the search is to have content crawled in both languages, so if you search in Japanese, you will see the Japanese version. If you search in English, you will see the English. The only limitation is that someone needs to use the translate feature on the post for the crawl to happen. Thank you,
