I am currently using Forge Component "Signature Pad" for the confidential document signing process in my application.

So, I wanted to know how secure is the Forge Component "Signature Pad" when compared to the Adobe Sign.

Any suggestions or alternatives are appreciated.

Hi Muneera,

In general nothing is secure on the client side (web browser), in the browser it is always possible for malicious intend to influence code and data. Don't let the number of downloads and reviews suggest that this or any other component is secure (and this from someone who contributed to the component). You always need to ensure yourself security aspects of an application.

But what is your security concern here? One could try to influence the content of the signature and replace it with another signature? What security risk will that impose?

Back to your question, does the component have the same security features as Adobe Sign.

The answer is a clear NO.

Adobe sign is not just a digital input for someone to sign, it is a complete solution, and all the security features are described in this document:

https://www.adobe.com/content/dam/cc/en/trust-center/ungated/whitepapers/doc-cloud/acrobat-sign-security-overview.pdf

There is a reason why you have to pay between 10 and 20 dollar/month for Adobe e-signature, the features of Adobe e-signature cannot be compared with this Forge component.

Kind regards,

Daniel

Hi Muneera Shaik,

This forge component is very much safe and useful component. as you can see it has been installed more then five thousand times and you can check reviews as well. i have implemented this forge component in my previous project and yes it was secure and easy to use. and rest depends on the uses how and where do you want to use.

Thanks

Prince
