I'd like the posibility to select multiple widgets and then in the properties pane the properties that are not unique to a widget can be edited. For example, when selecting multiple radiobuttons I want to set the destination and style once for all radiobuttons.
Good idea but not only for containers. I would extend it to entity attributes for instance. If I select some entity attributes I would like to see the common properties and have the possibility to change them.
Select multiple items in Service Studio with CTRL-Click and get to adjust their shared properties. For instance i need to add a CSS class to 4 items on screen. Instead of just clicking one item adding the class and then clicking the next one and then adding the class, I simply CTRL-Click all the items that need the class and in the property window (bottom right) I see their shared properties. One of the shared properties would be 'Style Classes' and i can set them all at the same time. This feature would save a lot of development time and it surprises me Outsystems does not support it yet.
This stuff is working really well for other frameworks, like Oracle APEX for instance.
I want to be able to change multiple widgets at once
Example:
When I want to assign a style to multiple expressions, but not all, I would like to be able to select the Expressions and set their values to the CSS or make them bold etc. I would like to essentially be able to have access to the properties that the widgets share, be it, Visible, Margin left, Margin Top, width, Style classes, etc.
I think you get my point. Would this be possible, are you working on it, if so how soon can we look forward to it in our toolboxes?
If i choose 3 attributes ("Name", "Surname", "DateOfBirth") and all have some values, say the attribute "Is Mandatory" and by default they have values "No". Now i want to change all the three values to "Yes". By selecting all the attributes, the value can be changed all at once, not one by one.
thank you.
This is still a great idea that can save some precious time :)
The ability to drag and drop many files at once to the resources is very nice.
What would be even better? A way to set a group of files to deploy to a target directory, instead of having to do this one by one...
If this is not possible, what about the possibility to create folders in Resources, with the "Deploy to Target Directory" property, being possible to drag multiple files to it and deploy them all to the target directory?
This would be really nice :)

Hi Eduardo,
Is this similar to this idea?https://www.outsystems.com/ideas/1032/properties-pane-change-properties-for-selected-widgets
We are merging all ideas related to bulk edition of multiple objects in this idea!
Does it make sense to you?
Cheers,
Hi Vasco,
That idea is very nice, and I think that, if it was applied to anything that has properties, probably would solve this issue in a way, as it would be possible to select many resources and define at once the Target Folder to deploy.
So, by me, its fine to merge :) This would reaaly be nice, because many times we want to define many properties at once :)
Yes I would love this, especially when I'm adding a ton of font files.
Nice Eduardo,
I'll merge them since we will consider doing this generically to allow developers to multiple the properties of several objects at the same time.
It will also increase the number of likes in the idea! ;)
Cheers
Excellent! Certainly a relevant idea!
Add the possibility to change some properties in bulk, like:
It can be very useful when working with dummy data or really big forms.
I think there's already an idea to edit properties for multiple widgets at once. Don't know which one though (there's no search option in the Ideas section)

+ 1 !
@Harry, you're right. Look at this idea:
https://www.outsystems.com/ideas/1032/properties-pane-change-properties-for-selected-widgets
Take a good look who created it...
And yes, still very good idea!
