Support Markdown in Forge/Forums

For me this is more important for the Forge, but could also be useful for the Forums.

All the "long text" inputs, like descriptions or documentation, should support Markdown, besides or instead of the existing HTML in code view. HTML isn't very fluid to write and Markdown is becoming the lingua-franca for technical documentation.

Great idea! I would also like to be able to write my documentation in Markdown. It's easier to write and it is testable for readability outside of the Forge.

This also has the side benefit of including the documentation resource inside the component itself thus keeping it valid for the specific version of the component. A rollback to an older Forge published version will also get you the correct documentation for that version. A win-win.

Agree!

And to add something regarding the HTML editing we currently have: besides html not being the most convenient way to write a document with the sanitized version we can use (which makes sense) it's even more constraining on what you can do. In the occasions I have to switch to that I have to struggle a lot to get what I need.
