Provide a rich text editor out of the box like CKEditor

What would be the benefit of it? Yes, we could include CKEditor in RichWidgets, but I can't see what advantage this would have.

The main benefit would be that Outsystems would support it and most important of all - fix it and provide updated versions. I had to fix one issue with the image URL, and there are still outstanding Ajax warnings/errors.

In order to be truly "agile", a developer needs to be able to quickly and reliably create serious applications out of the box without having to piece together unsupported components to get the job done.

Agreed, O/S should look to include this, even if it means including a cut down version.

To have Text Editor widget like CK Editor or TINY MCE with ability dynamically adding new buttons with custom functionality.

Inclusion of a Rich Text Editor widget within the OutSystems UI would provide developers with the ability to incorporate rich text editing capabilities seamlessly into their applications.

  • Text formatting options (e.g., bold, italics, underline, font size, etc.).
  • Image insertion and manipulation capabilities.
  • Hyperlink creation and management.
  • Bullet and numbered lists.
  • Support for different text styles (e.g., headings, paragraphs, quotes, etc.).

By including a Rich Text Editor widget, OutSystems would empower developers to build applications that require content creation and editing in a more efficient and user-friendly manner. This feature would be beneficial for various use cases such as blogging platforms, content management systems, and collaborative document editing tools.
