We will keep your idea under our radar as it is an idea that will bring value to Forums.
However, currently we don't have a deadline to implement it.

In the meanwhile, if you want to select several tags what you can do is follow the tag and the tag will be added to your suggestions in search.
There you can use multiple tags for searching. The only limitation is that the suggestions show 5 tags maximum.
