Service Studio

The Idea is Giving Privilege of Integrating External Database in Service Studio

  • Point A
    • Service Studio has Application Layer which has 4 tabs Process , Logic ,  Interface and Data
    • So there should be a fifth tab name Integration Which would contain Folder for Database
    • Under which there should be a menu list for database who are compatible with out systems.
    • For example :- If you selected SQL from the folder then the wizard will appear where you  can provide the credentials and can test the connection.
    • Once the Connection is successful then under Data Tab there should be the External DB folder which will contain an integrated entities.
    • The main purpose of the Idea is to cut the Integration studio process and making it more flexible from giving privilege to service studio.

Sounds great as it will be possible for all the developers to have everything under one shelf, which will eventually make things easier.

Hi Sagar,

Not sure how this makes live easier for a developer.

We can reorder existing functionality in Service Studio. This functionality is already available in Service Studio, just on another place, on the  Logic Tab, under the folder Integrations.

If you right-click and select New Integration... you can select all the data sources for which you want to setup an integration, including all databases that OutSystems allows you to integrate with.

So you can integrate with any database without Integration Studio.

Integration Studio is only required nowadays to develop extensions.

Would you agree your Idea is implemented?

Daniel
