Expose the data in your Outsystems application via an OData service (RESTful API). Just rightclick on the entity and the rest is done for you, including security, streaming and paging. The data is queryable from the outside. The data can be used in Excel, LinqPad, PowerBI, Tableau, and a number of other BI solutions.

Considered the fact that Mendix is working on a oData solution to seamlessly integrate with SAP, maybe this is becoming a more important idea for a near future release! :)

Are there any updates on this?

Hello,

Do we have any progress on this one?

Is there any news about this?

Hello, I would like to know if there is any progress on this subject? I see that it has been on the radar for years, but I haven't seen any news. This issue is very important for systems integration, both external and internal with weak dependency. I have followed other platforms that have evolved on this subject and I would like to see it here too. This is a great case that companies are questioning and is being used as a decision factor for contracting the platform.

As per @Jasper Oudenaarden's comment, I also took a look at the neighboring platform and it works perfectly, both for importing and exporting data. The platform needs this native functionality.

A public example of the service is this:

https://services.odata.org/V3/(S(hrzgfhbkc4g5ih1xfhbepx3v))/OData/OData.svc/$metadata

Ideally, the platform should generate the service URI and also create all the documentation, similar to what it does today with the Rest API.

I fully agree with @Edson Marques comments. OData is a significant accelerator and a widely adopted industry standard. Implementing this native functionality on the platform would be extremely beneficial for OutSystems customers.

Do we have any news regarding this? This is a great addition on Outsystems Capability as a platform for many companies out there are using Odata Services when they are exposing their Rest API. Hoping for this to happen.

Hi all, any updates on this topic? It has been a while and I'm curious what the progress is.
