We want to show the PC size of windows constantly by external parameter on SilkUI.


If we use SilkUI, the windows size is evaluated and adjusted to such as tablet mode automatically.

We want to stop this adjustment of window and keep a certain preference.


We want to control by a external parameter whether this adjustment works or not.

The SILK UI components are great and make life so much easier when developing web screens and web blocks. 

The frustrating thing is they only support RESS so res-sizing a browser window doesn't work. This ultimately means you need to add the relevant media queries manually, undoing a lot of the benefits. 

I have used bootstrap, bulma and other CSS frameworks because of the time required to adapt all of the SILK UI widgets.

YES - i could enable device emulation but let's be honest this isn't very professional plus forces a re-load which is sometimes not ideal if the user is in the middle of something

Hi wwzo devosp!

For now, we've decided not to move forward with this idea and it's not on our current roadmap. If anything changes we'll let you know.


Nonetheless, we are grateful for your idea and contributions, and keep it coming.
