Out of scope
Lifetime

In Lifetime, allow an option to add "Outsystems Forge" as an environment to be able to synchronize Forge components with your environment.  A good example would be to keep Web Components in sync with your environment and be able to compare the changes between Forge and your environment.

Lifetime

Hi Rebecca,

Thank you for your idea.

Although the topic of keeping your factory updated with Forge Components is on our radar, we believe this use case is not directly implemented in LifeTime.

Update a Forge component could lead to breaking references which should be handled by a developer in the Service Studio context.

We have also other ideas kind related to this one:

By now I will mark this one as out of the scope for LifeTime.

Nevertheless, thanks Rebecca for your idea and keep them coming!

I think OutSystems should reconsider supporting this functionality natively in Lifetime.

Mainly, as a developer and person responsible for deploying across environments, I trust Lifetime to present any incompatibilities before I publish.

Service Studio does not give a helpful level of detail when presenting potential incompatibilities.  In most cases, the only way I can tell if a new Forge version will break my applications is by installing it.

If supported by Lifetime, I understand exactly how to drill into the changes between versions and evaluate the severity of any impact this may present.
