Service Studio

When opening service studio you see a screen with the list of the applications running on the factory. The applications are displayed in a "windows tile" pattern.  This screen is not usefull if you have a lot of applications in the factory. My sugestion is: OS should develop a service studio entry screen with display options like "windows explorer view options":

-tiles (as is)
-details
-list

The other ideia is to allow search options in this screen

Hey Antonio,

First of all thanks for you idea!

Recently we have both improved the search capability of this page and added the possibility of quickly jump to the modules you have been working on recently (check more information here: https://www.outsystems.com/ideas/2691/). This way, you can very quickly find the app/module you want to edit.

Because of this, we don't have anything on our short term roadmap to tackle this.

Keep the ideas coming!

Merged this idea with 'ListView & GridView options in ServiceStudio to view Projects | Service Studio | Outsystem' (created on 27 Apr 2019 05:52:17 by assif_tiger)

Greetings Team Outsystems & Folks,

It would be much feasible if we have an option next to notification icon in Service Studio to change the view of respective Applications in Service Studio.

List View & Grid View

I already have more then 20+ application in service studio & existing service studio shows a Grid -View, It goes difficult sometimes to find the right application if the name is long.

A View Change option can help developers to read the full name of application & we can also show some important details on that List-Item.

Ref: Google Drive Provide the same kind of option to change view.

Kindly,

Assif

A list view with more meaningful information/actions for each application would be a great addition. Instead of entering the application detail and action it, doing that in a list would be better.

It would be nice to be able to toggle the applications presentation between a galley and a list. When names of applications are bigger, is not easy to ready them.

Propose to merge with the Idea: Application List with 4 Layer Canvas where it also is dealing with readability.

Merged this idea with 'Change the display of the applications in Service Studio' (created on 06 Feb 2022 04:25:57 by José Marcelo da Silveira)

I really wanted to be able to change the way applications are presented in Service Studio, to display a list with names instead of icons, as in the attached example.

I only work with my laptop most of the time, and icons take up a lot of space on the display.

@OutSystems we'd let you off if the names wrapped properly, but if they are too long it just truncates them, and you have to hover the mouse over each of them to read them.

Doesn't sound TOO bad until you remember YOUR OWN architecture guide says to use a SUFFIX to differentiate the _CS Core Services, _BL Business Logic, _CW Core Web-Blocks etc which you can't read.

Come on people, this is a simple request... a list view.

You could even be REALLY nice to us and have the list items expandable to display a list of modules within.... but I accept that's a bit optimistic.   We'll settle for just a simple list view.

This should have been sorted YEARS ago.
