Agile tool made by outsystems

For project management in outsystems we are currently dependent on JIRA, TFS Online etc. third party project management tools. Idea is to create a agile tool in outsystems that can manage projects scrum itself those are created in a server.

When ever a new project is created in server(cloud/Onprem), it will automatically generate the basic structure of Epic, Product backlog, sprint. Then one can modify it as per requirement and will be managed by this tool provided by outsystems.

OnTrack is a good idea, unfortunately it's been totally abandoned by OutSystems. I tried installing it a few months ago and it didn't even work. It's very clear that OutSystems has no intention of continuing or maintaining this application, so I would not recommend you use it, and anyone currently using it... get off.

Hi,

I agree with Justin, OnTrack is by no means a tool I would recommend.

Also I would OutSystems spent its time on creating a good developer tool and developer experience.

Rather then them redoing all the work that others have done (Atlassian/Jira, Microsoft/TFS), would like them to provide standard available integrations. Also taken into account that it is in many cases a customer requirement to integrate with their tools like JIRA.

Now we tend to do a lot of integration work on large factories to get the integration with JIRA up to par with what the customer is used to/requires. Especially in a factory with multiple development teams the default connectors and components in the Forge are not "plug&play".

I really like this idea!

Now i use JIRA with users permissions and stories, but if the Outsystems made one with integration, it will be more easily to manager all that

Outsystems provides a strong feature of Rapid Development, we can propose Outsystems own Dashboard for tracking of the Business and Functional requirements and other details. Outsystems enterprise application can have its own Agile Board so that the teams effectively build the applications in Outsystems.

This will bring in a new Tool from Outsystem to the customers building their applications and will increase the efficiency and proficiency level of a final product.

Something like a JIRA board.

Not the same idea, but I would opt for the following idea, a better JIRA integration in OutSystems. Anything OutSystems would self build would be limited compared by what OutSystems would implement. Furthermore using JIRA (as a best of bread) tool allows for easier Agile at Scale, Scrum of Scrum with other JIRA boards of other teams. Lets also not forget that many companies, customers already have JIRA embedded in their workflow.
