Show node position changes in a different color

As a reviewer, I often need to compare the current version with old ones and I need to check every single change reported by the Merge and Compare tool.  So I don't spend time checking nodes that just changed position I would like that the tool highlight those in a different color.

To this idea (from 20 Oct. 2019), I believe the following idea should be merged/combined:

"Ignore position changed in merge" (from 4 Nov. 2019)

They relate to the same thing, the Merge functionality, basically requesting:

1) To have an option to "ignore whitespaces" in the merge;

2) If set to "not ignore whitespaces" then color "whitespaces" (positions) them differently than the other changes.
