All of us who have already deployed mobile applications have come across the need to have a huge list driving a dropdown, and how much this reduces the good user experience. What I came to suggest is a bit similar to DropDown Select from the Traditional Web but in addition to having search, it also has an autocomplete.

This will greatly improve usability and user experience if they have to go through a huge dropdown, such as what profession they have.
