Not right now

When working in a development mode, it would be great to be able to publish an extension and then republish the currently deployed version of all consumers. Right now, I need to jump from Integration Studio to Service Center, and then re-login to Service Center (since working in the app itself seems to clear my permissions in Service Center), then republish from there.

Nice one!

But think it must be an option that you can set or a button you van press after publising the extension (else every publish can take long). On that way you can even do it when publising eSpaces.
Yes, or a checkbox next to the publish, or something like that. It definitely must be optional, but it would be a great option to have. :)

Changed the status to
Not right now

Hi Justin,

Sorry for the late reply, but we are not planning on delivering this in the near future.

The investment to do this properly is too big for the return and for the upcoming new features that we have in mind. Because of this, I’m marking this idea as“not right now”.

Nonetheless, thank you very much for your idea and keep it coming.

If you believe we missed some context that would change our perception about it, please give us more details about why you would need this and for what is the use case.

Thanks!

Merged this idea with 'Publish all consumers of an extension' (created on 24 Jun 2022 13:03:21 by Rui Lopes)

Whenever a new version of an extension is published or one of its compile-time configurations is changed, all the extension's consumers must be published. If the list of consumers is extensive, the easiest way to do it is to create a solution and then publishing it. However, retrieving the consumers list is not trivial as it requires going up the consumers tree and is both cumbersome and error prone.

It would be great to have in Service Center a "Publish All Consumers" button for extensions like we have for modules (which is a life saver).

Thank you!
