Consolidate 'delete' action in Service Studio
Created on 12 Mar 2025

There are currently 3 ways (that I remember) of deleting assignments in Service Studio: Variable assignments can be deleted with CTRL + D Unused inputs can be deleted with Delete Events can only be deleted by deleting the text I think the same shortcut should work for all three.

I understand why we don't have it for Attributes, but it would be REALLY helpful on Attributes, to decide if it can be removed or not.J.Ja

Configured Tenant to be shown in ServiceStudio on the Status Bar

Greetings !!We often use 'Configure Tenants To Test Queries' on service studio while developing or tracing data across tenants while test.It would be helpful for developers to quickly know the tenant configured via a label showing Selected Tenant on StatusBar in ServiceStudio. This way we don't have to go back to > menu > module > configure tenant for test queries; to see the selected tenant. Thanks

Order Modules in Service Studio
Created on 18 Mar 2019
Gustavo Luís Hinterholz

It would be interesting to be able to order the modules that make up an application so that the organization proposed by the 4 canvas becomes more evident.I suggest that this ordering is possible by dragging and dropping within the modules list of an application in service studio.

[Service Studio] Allow the developer to rearrange widgets on the widget pane
Created on 21 Feb 2019
Armando Gomes

Hello there,I would like to suggest that the developer is able to rearrange the widget pane (left pane) to their liking. If the developer uses a lot of Comboboxes but none Editable Tables, maybe it makes sense to show that in a higher position?Cheers!

True change warning when Ajax Submitting in Screen Action that ends in Download or Upload
Created on 09 Jul 2018
Kilian Hekhuis
21
The Upload Widget and Download Statement only function when the Button or Link that triggers them is set to Submit. Setting it to Ajax Submit will result in a runtime error (for Upload) or downloading the ASPX file (for Download), both unwanted. Therefore Service Studio / TrueChange should be able to detect when a Screen Action that has at least one end node being the Download Statement is called from an Ajax Submit, and if so gives a TrueChange warning. Also, a Screen that has an Upload Widget calling a Screen Action that uses the Upload Widget in Expressions or Assignments etc. by a Button or Link that has Ajax Submit should give a TrueChange warning.Additionally, TrueChange should not suggest setting a Submit to Ajax Submit when there are Ajax Refreshes inside the Screen Action, as it does currently, but instead suggest to remove the Ajax Refreshes in the cases listed above. This will help novice OutSystems Developers, as problems with this regularly appear on the forums (e.g. here ).

Seeing the input parameter's default value on the input/dropdown as a placeholder would be a QoL improvement over having to mouseover it to see the full details. Example implementation:

Forum discussion close email

It would be helpful to have a system where if a user asks a question and it remains unanswered for 7 days, an email notification is sent to the user asking if their query has been resolved. If it has, they can mark it as solved. If not, they can seek further assistance.
