Reactive version of Data Grid Forge component
Created on 09 Nov 2019
Daniël Kuhlmann

It would be nice if OutSystems would provide a reactive version of the Data Grid component.Given the amount of post on the forum regarding data grid related topics, it is fair to say it is a popular component that developers use. With the shift from tradional web to reactive web applications, it would be a pitty to not have this component available as a reactive version.

Rename your personal environment

When you create your personal free environment with OutSystems, you cannot change the generated name, which in some cases is hard to remember. If you could set your personal environment name like picking a username, would be great :-)

Advanced Code Formatting
Created on 15 Dec 2022

IDEs typically provide an option to customize code formatting.Service Studio lacks that functionality, which forces developers to format the codemanually. It would be great to customize the way that the code is indented. For example:Define the x and y coordinates of the Start NodeDefine the x and y coordinates of the Exception Handler (if more than one is present, align it to the right or to the left)Define the horizontal and vertical distance between nodes (in grid points)More advanced options could include, for example, if the first For Each node should align to the right or top right.A shortcut (e.g. CTRL + SHIFT + F) to format the code would also be great!Configuration example:Before:After:

Raise custom Database Exception from Advanced SQL
Created on 14 Jan
Bruno Marques

Hi, I'm not sure if this is possible but I will share something that I just experienced. I have a query that creates/updates data in several entities. This query has 200 lines which is heavy enough. I need 2/3 validations before doing this heavy CRUD, I would like to do that inside the Advanced SQL node and be able to output the error code and error message. As of today, the only error that comes out of a query is "Error executing query" which doesn't allow me to handle the error properly. To accomplish those validations, I need to have more aggregates or even SQL nodes outside the heavy create/update which will increase even further the complexity of the action.

Identify Unused CSS in all Dependent Modules
Created on 26 Jul 2023
Ana Serrenho

My suggestion is to implement a feature that allows developers to find and remove unused CSS within all dependent modules and style sheets. This tool would help streamline application development by identifying redundant styles, leading to improved performance and easier maintenance.

Display ODC Components in the My Assets Section of Forge
Created on 08 Oct 2025
Murali Manoharan V

Currently, components created under ODC are not listed in the My Assets section of Forge — only O11 assets are visible. Additionally, when selecting both “My Assets” and “ODC” in the filter, it still shows all ODC assets instead of only the ones created by the logged-in user. It would be great to fix the filter and include ODC components under the My Assets section to maintain consistency and help developers easily track their contributions.

Points for each certification attained
Created on 26 Sep 2022

I think that will be a good idea to receive points for each certification attained. It's a way to reward the effort of getting a certification and in my perspective it doesn't make much sense to get points for watching videos and not getting points when we pass a certification.Best Regards,João Fernandes

Export query result to excel
Created on 28 Oct 2019
Davide Periquito

Hello,Since it is very hard to get access to the database credentials for the Outsystems enterprise licenses, it would be very useful to have a button to export aggregate/advance query results to an excel file, and the service studio could download the file. This feature is very handy for QA environments when sometimes developers don't have access to deploy code but they can see it.Regards,

Create a "1-Click Publish" queue in Service Studio to publish multiple modules in sequence
Created on 12 Apr 2022
Aurelio Junior

When you're making changes in a module that sits low in the architecture canvas, you need to manually republish many modules up the layers before you're able to test your changes. It would greatly reduce the pain involved if we could create something like a "1-Click Publish queue" in Service Studio and add modules to it. Then, with 1 click, SS would publish the modules in the queue in the order they were added.Suggestion: select the modules in SS with Ctrl+Click, right click, then "Add to new queue".

Service Studio for linux
Created on 02 Jun 2010

It would be nice to have Service Studio in a linux machine without the need of a vmware or VirtualBox. Even if it was with wine. I've heard about Mono. Is it true that with Mono you can run Service Studio in linux?
