Increase the number and complexity of Course's quiz questions
Created on 25 Nov 2019
Paulo Zacarias
27
When completing a Course, a wild quiz appears... I believe that if the number of questions and its complexity increases, the user acquires a bigger knowledge about the platform and its best practices.I would suggest that training official partners and MVPs group can help on that matter, making the community stronger in terms of knowledge.

Application Icon Download or Select Icon from other App
Created on 03 Feb 2024
Reinaldo Muralha
12
When working in Service Studio whenever we need to create a new application we need to either select a color for our application or upload an Icon, however in big factories there are usually specific Icons to identify different groups of applications or different domains, it would be great if we could select from the existing icons in the factory to avoid needing to go search for the icon if it is another person creating the new application.

Comment on groups of elements
Created on 17 Jan 2020
Jasper Oudenaarden
23
It would be great to have the possibility to comment on a group of elements. And make it visually clear in the interface, which elements the comment effects. In this way it's more clear which elements are part of the comment and as a bonus you can easier comment on large pieces of code.In the same way comments are usually done in traditional coding, like (e.g. in javascript): //Start of function / piece of code /* Initialize and invoke a the greetUser function to assign user's name to a constant and print out a greeting. */ function greetUser () { const name = prompt("What is your name?"); console.log("Hello ," + name + "! How are you?"); } greetUser(); //Start of another function / piece of code /* Initialize and invoke a the sayGoodbyeUser function to print out a goodbye. */ ......Visual idea:

Enable Edit/Delete Functionality for Comments in Asset Moderation History Page
Created on 12 May 2025
Senthil Nathan A
5
Description : On the Asset Moderation History page, it would be extremely helpful to have Edit and Delete buttons for user comments. Currently, if a user accidentally submits a comment multiple times, such as due to button loading delays or double-clicks, there is no way to either delete the duplicate or update the text. Use Case Example : I recently experienced this issue where, due to a slight UI lag, I unintentionally clicked the "Comment" button twice in the Add Comment PopUp. The same comment was added twice to the moderation history. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to delete the extra comment or update it with corrected or different information. This can lead to confusion or clutter in the comment history. Proposed Solution : Add Edit and Delete buttons for each comment in the Asset Moderation History list. Ensure appropriate permissions or audit trail is maintained to preserve moderation integrity. This enhancement will improve user experience and data cleanliness in moderation workflows.

Limit the public scope of a module
Created on 17 Mar 2020
Hermínio Mira
27
The main idea is simple:- You could limit the modules that consume this module, this would mean that no modules outside that set of modules could ever reference anything from this module. This means the module owner(s) can in effect limit the consumers modules.I believe this would greatly help some medium/big factories.

Complete list of requirements of trusted badge

When we are submitting an asset to the forge we have this helpful checklist of things that we have to follow so that our asset can be sent to review. From experience, assets are rejected if they do not have a " Try now ". I think it would save everybody's time if this was included in this checklist. It would be nice to also have it mentioned in the docs . Cheers, Tiago

Flag entity's attribute as DEPRECATED
Created on 31 Oct 2021
José Gonçalves
20
The scenario is an attribute that is decided not be used anymore in an entity, but its deletion is not a good policy at that point. The only way to "deprecate" is adding a comment in the description, which is not a safe solution because it doesn't prevent developers to keep using it.So there could be a property in the attribute (called Deprecated) that could grey out the field and warn about its usage in SQLs and other actions.

Simplified flow diagram for entity and process visualization
Created on 03 Nov 2025
Dinesh Murugan
4
OutSystems already provides entity relationship diagrams after creating entities, but it would be even more useful to have a simple, editable flowchart feature to visually represent the data or process flow throughout the project. This feature would help developers and teams easily map out how data moves between screens, actions, and entities without needing to use external tools like Draw.io, Miro, or Lucidchart. It would be a quick way to narrate workflows or data movements directly within OutSystems during client discussions or internal planning. Example: For instance, consider a project with entities like Customer, Order, and Invoice. A built-in flowchart could show how data flows: Customer → Order → Invoice → Payment , and developers could edit or annotate the flow to demonstrate logic or upcoming changes. This visual approach would make it easier to explain ideas, document workflows, and align technical and non-technical stakeholders all within Service Studio.

'Manage Dependencies' window already with the filter populated with the module name.
Created on 21 Jan 2019

The idea is to right click on a reference and choose 'Manage Dependencies', open the 'Manage Dependencies' window already with the filter filled with the module name. We would have a big gain in performance.

Using Multilingual Locales
Created on 07 Jun 2024

There should be a functionality in which if we add locale and select language we want to translate can automatically translate original text to translate text without filling 'Translation in' column. That is we don'n need to translate any text , it will automatically detect all texts and show the translation according to the languages provided in the outsystems. thanks..
