Make event handler for entire row in an on-screen table
Created on 23 Jan 2024
Glenn Tibo

Right now when you want en entire Row of a table clickable (or another event), you need to put the OnClick event on every Row Cell and point to the same action every single time which is quite repetitive and prone to mistakes. If you add a new Row Cell because extra data needs to be shown, you need to put the OnClick action again for this specific Row Cell even though it point to the same end point as the other ones. It would be nice if we could put the event handler on the entire Row instead of on the Row cell. Like this, newly added Row Cells will automatically point to the same OnClick action and you won't forget it. The option to put different handlers on the different Row Cells should still stay. This would just be an extra way to make an Action for a whole Row at once.

Native support for authentication with Passkeys
Created on 21 Dec 2025
Tiago Ribeiro

Add native Passkey authentication support to OutSystems, enabling secure, passwordless login using platform-level passkeys (FIDO2/WebAuthn). Passkeys are becoming an industry standard (and for good reason) as they have multiple advantages over traditional authentication methods. From Fido Alliance: This could technically be implemented via a Forge component, but given the complexity and security criticality it would be much better if the platform handled it.

Ideas - allow ideas with Category = ODC

Currently when we are trying to create a new idea for ODC, we get this warning: While I understand why this exists, it removes a key value of the community: visibility, discussion, and voting. If the problem is to ensure that the suggestion goes directly to the ODC team, wouldn't it be better to just notify said team when a new idea is created with the ODC category?

ODC Portal should have a screen with a interface to manage all the setting of the OuSystems Cloud connector, instead of a command line.

Reset Quiz Questions
Created on 10 Apr 2020

I think there should be a reset button that allows users to reset questions to default, remove the answers so that users can try answering the quiz questions again after coming back to review the material.First time i made some small mistakes, and now after 3 months i want to test my knowledge and i can't do it because the questions are already answered. Do i have to make a new account?

Allow image uploads in Mentor to replicate UI components
Created on 20 May
Carlos Costa

Mentor is outstanding for developing components when you can explain your vision with language — although at times an image truly conveys more than words. His works well for pictures of current user interfaces (from other apps, or even other parts of your own app), images of whiteboard drawings, or any additional visual aid. That translation step is where things get lost. The idea is let us submit a photo alongside the Mentor chat, and give Mentor the task to examine it and generate the OutSystems component that matches it. This would work for captures of current user interfaces (from other apps, or even other parts of your own app), photos of whiteboard sketches, or any other pictorial reference. The value here is huge for teams that work fast. Instead of taking time writing detailed prompts, you just insert a screenshot and let Mentor figure it out. This might turn Mentor effectively advantageous for a wider range of daily development scenarios, beyond merely assisting people experienced in formulating prompts.

Service studio filter applications
Created on 15 Dec 2018

Today is only possible to search an application by name. But would be nice to have some kind of filtering too. Today I missed a way of filtering by type (web, mobile, service). Also for example hide the applications that came from forge. But for sure there is a lot more filtering that we can use. Would be nice to discuss around this topicAnd image to be clear the screen I'm talking about:

Mock Test before certification
Created on 21 Dec 2019

I observe that the people who are new in Outsystems they complete the course but when it comes to certification exams they found question in exam confusing and they perform poor in exams. I think there should be at least one mock test before certification.

Fix O11 publishing issues and remove automatic merge without any warning
Created on 05 May
Miguel Garcia

Hi, Just published an app in O11 after undoing some steps. Then noticed that Service Studio automatically undid my undone and published a latest version without my changes and even without giving me a warning or an option to select. Please: Don't try to automate things that should not be automated. The developer should be the one in control at all times. Also, every time I publish, the laptop gets a bit unresponsive till it finishes. I don't know what was changed in this version but has some issues. Note that issues in copy-paste are on-going for several versions now. This might be because of some background processing for automations but are impacting when we need to copy text inside Service Studio (that doesn't get copied). Best regards, Miguel Garcia
