Problem Statement In web development, managing CSS styles across various style sheets, inline styles, and components can become complex. Developers often struggle to understand the overall picture of how styles are applied to different elements. This lack of clarity can lead to inconsistencies, maintenance challenges, and performance issues. Proposal Let’s introduce an AI-powered solution that automatically identifies CSS elements from style sheets, inline styles, and other sources. The goal is to create an element mapping overview, similar to entity diagrams, that visualizes how styles cascade and affect different parts of a web application. How It Works CSS Element Detection: The AI analyzes existing style sheets, inline styles, and related CSS components It identifies CSS selectors, properties, and values associated with each element (e.g., tags, classes, IDs). Mapping and Visualization: The system constructs an overview diagram that represents the entire application. Each element (e.g., HTML tag, component) is a node in the diagram. Connections between nodes represent CSS rules (inheritance, specificity, etc.). Layered Visualization: Similar to entity relationship diagrams, the overview shows layers of styles. For example: Base styles (user agent styles, global styles) Component-specific styles (from style sheets or inline) Overrides (specificity-based or media queries) Interactive Exploration: Developers can interact with the overview: Click on an element to see its associated styles. Highlight paths of style inheritance. Identify conflicting rules. Dynamic Updates: As developers modify styles, the overview dynamically updates. New elements, changes, or deletions are reflected in real time. Benefits Clarity: Developers gain a holistic view of how styles propagate. Efficiency: Faster debugging and optimization due to visual insights. Collaboration: Teams can discuss and align on styling decisions. Maintenance: Easier identification of unused or conflicting styles.

To improve the user experience and reduce redundant submissions in the OutSystems Ideas forum, I propose adding an AI-powered module to the idea submission forms. This module would help developers avoid duplicates, suggest relevant tags, and enhance the overall quality of submissions. Key Features: Duplicate Title Detection When a user enters a title, the AI module will scan the existing submissions to find and display similar or identical titles. This will help prevent duplicate ideas from being posted. Developers will be presented with a list of potential matches and can review them before finalizing their submission, reducing repetitive posts. Tag Suggestion Based on the title and description entered by the developer, the AI module will suggest appropriate tags. This ensures that the idea is properly categorized, making it easier to find and increasing visibility for relevant audiences. Tags can be accepted, modified, or added by the developer, allowing for flexibility while ensuring relevance. Description-Based Duplicate Check After the developer submits their idea description, the AI will also scan the content of existing submissions to find similar ideas based on the description, providing another layer of duplicate prevention. This feature will further reduce the chance of redundant ideas being posted, ensuring that unique contributions are highlighted.

There is a limitation in OutSystems Service Studio where folders cannot be nested inside other folders. As a result, application elements must be kept in a flat structure, which reduces clarity, organization, and long-term maintainability. Why not allow developers the flexibility to create a better and more structured folder management system?

The Vision To create a seamless, AI-powered development workflow by embedding OutSystems Mentor directly within ODC Studio. This integration aims to transform Mentor from a separate assistant into an active co-developer capable of generating features in real-time through natural language prompts. Key Features Embedded AI Pane: A native "Mentor" sidebar within ODC Studio to provide contextual help without leaving the development environment. Prompt-to-Feature Generation: Enable developers to describe small features (e.g., "Create a CRUD wrapper for this entity" or "Build a validation action for this form") via text prompts. Automated Logic Injection: Mentor would draft the suggested Logic, UI patterns, or Workflows directly into the open ODC application for the developer to review and publish. Contextual Awareness: The AI should understand the existing data model and client-side logic to ensure generated features are compatible and follow best practices. The Value Add Increased Velocity: Drastically reduces the time spent on repetitive or boilerplate development tasks. Lower Learning Curve: Assists junior developers in implementing complex patterns by following AI-guided prompts. Reduced Context Switching: Keeps developers focused in a single interface, increasing overall productivity.

Tailwindcss is a CSS Framework that is gaining popularity.  It would be great if this can be supported by the Outsystems Platform. Here's the link:  https://tailwindcss.com/docs/installation

I find myself many times in the need of replacing component inside a module (specially DEPRECATED ones) for the newest versions. Would be great if there was an option inside a context menu associated to the components, something like "Replace all usages of this component..." that would pop-up a window with the available components and allow to replace the selected component with another one selected from a list and apply it to all occurrences. This would in most cases generate errors or warning but it would save hundreds of clicks. Please see image bellow with an explanatory example:

Hi Outsystems Team, Automatically save users’ form data (in localStorage or database), and let them resume filling the form later. This feature ensures users don't lose their progress, allowing them to continue filling out a form from where they left off, even across different sessions or devices.

Hi team,I'm currently using a mouse with horizontal scrolling and it has proven to be a very useful tool on very different apps. It's very unfortunate to observe that Service Studio is not one of those.I have noticed that using "Shift + scroll" actually works on Aggregates, however, a mouse horizontal scroll doesn't.Also, from my tests ofc, "Shift + scroll" only works on Aggregates. If we try to use it elsewhere, it simply does not work, forcing me to use the scroll bars (which is so annoying!).Can you please help us efficiently scroll horizontally all over Service Studio?Cheers,
