The Factory Probe - Business Applications helps you bring structure, visibility, and consistency to your OutSystems Factory. 

It’s a lightweight and automated way to maintain a clean mapping between Applications and Business Applications — a foundation for any Factory governance, portfolio management, or reporting framework.

By scanning the Application system table and identifying applications tagged with @BusinessApp(Name=...), it automatically builds and maintains two reference tables:

• BUSINESSAPPLICATION – the list of all Business Applications detected

• BUSINESSAPPLICATION_APPLICATION – the mapping between Applications and their Business Applications

This ensures your factory is always synchronized and ready for governance and reporting initiatives.

Having this probe in your factory enables deeper insights into your OutSystems landscape, such as:

• Portfolio visibility: know exactly which Applications belong to each Business Application.
