Socialsharing Plugin Not Defined
Question

Hello,

I am using the social sharing plugin on a mobile app but keep getting this error "Socialsharingplugin not defined" due to the checksocialsharingplugin action returning false.  CordovaIsDefined returns true.

I am not using a web browser and this is not a reactive web app or a progressive web app.

This is what I did:

I added the plugin and related functionality to an existing mobile app, that also has other plugins and that has been generated before. After adding the new plugin, I  then regenerated the mobile app from the distribute native platforms tab, and updated the app on my mobile device.  Even after regeneration and updating the app on my device, I still have the error.

When I create a new mobile app on the same environment, add the same functionality and plugin and follow the same steps, the plugin works.

Does anyone know why it will not work on the mobile app that was generated previously?

Any ideas will be appreciated!

Hi Mohammed,

I am still stuck with this problem on my mobile app.

When the user clicks a link on the mobile app screen : I have this action:

The action CheckSocialSharingPlugin is from here:

Important comments:

I regenerated the mobile app after I added the social plugin here:

When I create a new mobile app on the same environment and I follow the same steps as above it works perfectly - using the same shared OML and the same device.

When I add the plugin and steps to a mobile app on the same environment that has been generated before and that has other plugins it does not work.

The app has these dependencies:

Any ideas will be much appreciated.

Hi,

This link did not solve the problem. I am using Outsystems 11.

I have two mobile apps on the same environment.

One is a new app, created only to test the social sharing plugin. Everything works perfectly on this app.

The other is an app that has been in use for some time and that has been generated before and that has other plugins too. When I add the same social sharing plugin, on the same environment as the test app, and regenerate the build, the social sharing plugin returns an error.
