Is there a recommended order to complete certifications?
Question

Is there a recommended order to completing the certifications in? I know the steps needed to be able to take them, but after the associate reactive developer certification there are 4 specializations.

Which one is most likely the next step?

With the goal in mind to reach Professional mobile/web developer certs as well as Tech lead related certs as well

Hello @Hunter Brennan ,

The next natural step after being an Associate Developer is to dive deeper into a specialization, like Web Developer Specialist or Mobile Developer Specialist. If you're aiming for the Professional Mobile Developer certification, you'll need the Web Developer Specialist certification as well. Since you're already familiar with the basics from your Associate Developer journey, going for the Web Developer Specialist first could make things much easier and help you build a solid foundation for future growth. Plus, it’s a great way to keep the learning momentum going! 😊

Below you can see the certification program:

Thanks so much! That diagram is actually super helpful. I usually just scroll up and down in the certifications page and confuse myself.

I think my order will be -

Mobile developer, Web developer, Architecture, Security and then wrap it up with front end once I have both of the professional developer certs.

Does this seem accurate? or is it really just preference and doesn't matter?

I think that works as well, also when you are studying for the Web/Mobile Dev Specialization you will probably learn some things about architecture and security. So it is best to start with those 2, that way you will have a foundation for the other 2.

Hi @Hunter Brennan ,

As I can understand that youre starting to take certifications, better you go for Associate Reactive Developer First and then you go for web developer / mobile developer specialist.

Thanks,

Jithu Thomas

Hey Jithu! I actually just passed the Associate reactive certification today! I asked this question a head of time anticipating that I would pass and it seems like it worked out!

Thanks for the response.
