SMTP port is readonly
Question

Hello,

When I try to configure emails, using ODC Portal, I get the SMTP Port field readonly (not disabled but readonly). The offered default value is 587. It is a port without SSL but I need 465, with SSL.

Does anyone know why it is readonly and how to deal with it?

Regards

Tomasz

Hi Tomasz M Lipinski,

It seems there is a misunderstanding here.

The value 587 is just a suggested default (placeholder value), and you can absolutely change it to another value for the SMTP port.

I am still able to use a different SMTP port on my ODC.

Hi,

I know that it is to be editable; and that many users can change it. But it my case it is readonly and I cannot nor change nor event select the displayed text. So, the question is, if somebody met such a case and was the solution.

Tomasz

Is it possible that the account you're using only has view access and does not have permission to modify email configuration settings?

Well, after my teammate managed to change this value, this field started to be fully editable (by me). Completely ridiculous. I swear I didn't thought it up :-)
