What is the process for outsystems platform server upgrades for outsystems cloud infr

Hello

Greetings for the day!

What is the process for outsystems platform server upgrades for outsystems cloud infrastructure.

1) Will there is going to be any downtime while outsytems  perform flatform upgrade activity.

2) What is the industrial practice of this activity.

3) is it possible to perform this activity in synchronous/sequential manner like dev first, preprod then prod,

or it should be one shot go.

4) will there be any chance that forge components which we are using already will become incomputable/ or broke references after updates?

kindly suggest

Hello.

That information is shared with the clients. Here is a summary of common scenarios, specific clients may have differences.

1) Yes, there is some unavailability for each server. Depending on the size of your factory it can be minutes or hours. You are given a reasonable window so you can prepare for it. (don't remember ever being more than the estimate).

2) Support will provide a standard plan for your number of servers. You can make some adjustments according with your sprint planning, your team calendar and that kind of things. It's simply that.

3) It is exactly like that. By default non-prod will be done during the day so you can start testing immediately and prod at night to have smaller impact. And each environment is days or even weeks apart so you have time to test everything.

4) It can happen. It will happen. That's why you have to test properly when DEV is updated, and QA, and PreProd... before you do it in Prod. If any component breaks, you have time to fix it.

I don't remember doing it that often and Version 11 is quite stable now. Once a year should be enough.
