Trial ended

My trial ended a few days ago, and now I activated the 10 days of shared access to ODC. I cannot find the app that I was building through training courses (available for beginners in ODC). I have the last version of the .oml file (since we have to submit our exercises to your website for proceeding), but I was not able to import this file to the ODC platform to continue learning. Do I have to start from scratch? It is very time-consuming since I have completed more than 50% of the course during the first 2-week trial period. Is there any solution?

Unfortunately, importing an .oml file (which is specific to OutSystems 11 and earlier platforms) into the ODC platform is currently not supported. ODC operates under a different architectural approach and file format, so these assets are incompatible. This means that, while you still have access to the .oml file, you won't be able to reuse it directly in ODC.

As your shared access to ODC has been activated, the only option at the moment may be to rebuild the application on the ODC platform from the beginning. While this is understandably time-consuming, it's important to note that ODC is a new environment built for cloud-native development, and features may still be evolving.

Another potential solution could be to contact OutSystems support and see if they can assist in retrieving your previous training environment or providing a workaround. You can open a support case here: Open a Support Case.

For now, it's also worth considering whether you can proceed with the course exercises and use the opportunity to deepen your understanding by recreating your application. If OutSystems introduces compatibility features in the future, this might make it easier to import assets across environments.
