ODC Studio Login Failure - Server Error Message on Authentication
Question

Hi everyone,

I'm experiencing issues logging into ODC Studio. When attempting to sign in, I'm getting the following error message:

"Our server is experiencing some issues. Our team has been notified and will fix it as soon as possible. Please try again later."

Context:

  • This occurs specifically during the login process in ODC Studio
  • Unable to authenticate and access the development environment
  • Error appears to be server-side rather than a client/network issue

I'm trying to understand:

  • Is this a known issue with ODC Studio authentication?
  • Could this be related to my ODC environment configuration?
  • Are there any service status pages I should check for OutSystems ODC?
  • Has anyone else experienced similar login issues recently?
  • Are there any troubleshooting steps I can take on my end?

This is blocking my development work, so any guidance on resolving this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Solution

I’ve raised a support case for this issue and have received a solution.

If you’ve recently updated Windows (specifically version KB5066835), it may cause login issues with ODC Studio. Please try uninstalling the update and then opening ODC Studio.

To uninstall the update:

  1. Press Windows + R, type appwiz.cpl, and hit Enter.

  2. On the left panel, click View installed updates.

  3. In the search bar at the top right, type KB5066835.

  4. Once found, right-click the update and select Uninstall.

  5. Restart your PC after the process completes.

This should resolve the login issue.

The error message "Our server is experiencing some issues. Our team has been notified and will fix it as soon as possible. Please try again later." typically indicates an issue on the server-side. Below are potential causes and solutions that may help address this problem:

Possible Causes:

  1. Temporary Server Downtime:

    • OutSystems may be experiencing temporary server issues or maintenance.
    • The server responsible for handling the login to your ODC Studio environment may be overloaded or unavailable.
  2. Incorrect Organization Domain:

    • The domain specified in the "Organization" field while trying to log in might be incorrect. For ODC, the organization format should look like [prefix]-dev.outsystems.app or [prefix].outsystems.dev Error logging into ODC Studio Client not found.
  3. Expired Access Due to Training Environment:

  4. Account or Invitation Issue:

    • If you are a new user, you might not have completed the full setup process. For example, you need to confirm your invitation email to gain access to ODC Studio ODC.

Possible Solutions:

  1. Wait and Retry:

    • Since the message indicates that OutSystems has been notified, they are likely addressing the server issue. Wait for some time and attempt logging in again.
  2. Verify Organization Name:

    • Double-check the organization domain provided in the "Organization" field. Use formats like [prefix]-dev.outsystems.app or [prefix].outsystems.dev. If you're unsure of the domain, you can refer to the email or documentation provided when you were onboarded onto ODC Error logging into ODC Studio Client not found.
  3. Check Training Period:

  4. Support and Diagnostics:

    • If the issue persists, you can collect a diagnostic report from ODC Studio. Open the application, replicate the issue and use the "Give Us Feedback!" button in the top menu bar to generate a report. Save it and share it with OutSystems Support when creating a ticket ODC Studio logs.

If none of the above resolves the issue, it's recommended to submit a support ticket to OutSystems Support Portal for further investigation. Ensure you provide as much information as possible, including the exact error message, your organization details, and the diagnostic log.

I encountered the same issue — it says the server is experiencing some problems. However, when I asked my friends and they tried logging in, they had no issues. I also checked the portal and website, and both are working fine. But when I try to log in, it doesn’t work. Have you found a solution yet?

Hi Dinesh,

Thank you for your post and update - it helped me as today I faced the same issue after my computer went through some windows updates.

In my case it was gone after restarting the computer, no need to unistall any specific update.
