Emails from enterprise environment are being sent with a delay of  1hr 20min approx

Hi Team,

We are experiencing a consistent delay in email delivery from our enterprise environment. Whenever we trigger or send an email, it is being received only after approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. We request your assistance in resolving this issue at the earliest.

Hi @Varuni Rajendran ,

There could be multiple reason of it.

You need to check with SMTP service provider, you need to check you organisation firewall policy.

If you are attaching attachment to the emails, then is there any virus scan service you got in place or not.

You need to check the server load as well, how many emails you are triggering whether it's in bulk or single emails.

Have you check with Outsystems Support as well regarding the same.

If the delay is consistent, the issue is on the receiver end.

If it was an OS issue, it would have different waiting times as many would go at the same time (when unblocked), not each one after exactly 80 minutes.

@Varuni Rajendran : The issue could be due to several reasons, as mentioned by others. A few options to debug are:

  1. If you have access to the Front-End Server, restart the Scheduler Service and see if it makes a difference.
  2. Temporarily switch to another SMTP provider and test if it works. If it does, the issue is likely with your current provider (Mimecast) - please reach out to their support team.
  3. If none of the above resolves the issue, contact OutSystems Support for further assistance.
