ODC Regression: Style Classes field not directly editable (works correctly in O11)
Discussion

Hi OutSystems Team,

I’d like to report a UI regression in OutSystems Developer Cloud (ODC) related to the Style Classes property of widgets.

Issue Summary

In ODC, the Style Classes input field does not allow direct typing unless the dropdown is opened first.

However, this works correctly in OutSystems 11 (O11), where users can type class names directly in the field without opening a dropdown or separate editor.

Behavior Comparison

OutSystems 11 (O11) – Working as Expected

  • Style Classes field is a normal editable input

  • Users can directly type values like:

    "font-semi-bold" dsS

  • No dropdown interaction required

OutSystems Developer Cloud (ODC) – Incorrect Behavior

  • Direct typing in Style Classes field is blocked

  • Input becomes editable only after opening the editor tab

  • This feels like an unintended UI change or regression

Hello,

I've typed here marg with the intention to write margin-top-l, but the typing wasn’t blocked. My ODC version is 1.6, maybe a newer version has something , although I didn’t find anything in the release notes mentioning this exact issue based on this:

https://success.outsystems.com/support/release_notes/outsystems_developer_cloud_releases/odc_studio

Maybe raise a support ticket for this.

This occurs in the most recent update 1.6.15. Older versions like 1.6.14 didnt have this. As soon as colleagues updated it didnt work anymore.

Thanks marcelo, I've noticed that it worked again throughout the day.
