OS Platform and windows upgrade (Windows Server 2022) - looking for lessons learned

Hi everyone,

OutSystems Support has informed us that our Platform Server  will be upgraded as part of a Windows Server upgrade (moving to Windows Server 2022) which will require upgrading our Platform Server version to OutSystems 11.40. We are currently running OutSystems 11.18

  • Has anyone already completed an upgrade from 11.18 (or similar) to 11.40, especially alongside a Windows Server 2022 upgrade?

  • Did you face any application issues or unexpected behaviour after the upgrade (runtime, performance, integrations ,Ecternal DB connectivity, etc.)?

Any experiences (good or bad) would really help

Regards,
N

Hi @Naren ,

Yes I'm currently doing this for some of our clients. 11.18.1 to 11.40.

What I found while doing this is mainly already stated on https://success.outsystems.com/support/release_notes/11/platform_server/ and https://success.outsystems.com/support/release_notes/11/outsystems_11_side_effects_and_breaking_changes on breaking changes.

Also some of the plugin have deprecated action and or change the module / action entirely, for example :

Check the forge component version and documentation for info on your forge plugin.
