Visual mapping tool to map your OS11 and ODC Architecture

Hi everyone,

I created a canvas tool for mapping OS systems, flows and architecture.

I built this because I often need a lightweight visual tool when discussing architecture, planning changes, documenting solutions, or explaining how different parts of a system connect. And honestly, mostly because I got really frustrated doing this in PowerPoint :P

I found it working well for my own use cases, so I decided to open it up for the rest of the OutSystems community.

What can it do?

  • Map OutSystems 11 architecture using apps, modules, actors, and weak/strong references.
  • Go more specific by dragging OutSystems components like Server Actions, APIs, Timers, and more directly into your architecture map.
  • Validate the 3 OutSystems architecture rules while drawing, based on the OutSystems documentation.
  • Map ODC architecture according to the ODC documentation.
  • Combine OS11 and ODC in one canvas, giving you a better visual overview of your full application landscape.

You can find it here: DrawFlow.app

I’d love to hear your feedback :)

Mitchel,

Thank you for creating this app, it looks really promissing, will definitely try out all features to see if we can use it.

Daniel

@Mitchell de Braal : Thank you for sharing it. It looks interesting.

One suggestion I would like to propose is adding a save locally/download option and an open from local file option, similar to draw.io. This would allow users to store project information locally instead of having to keep it on your servers.
