Hello all,
I have some strange behaviour from the compare and merge functionality. I can start comparing two versions of a module, either withing the same environment or between environments via Lifetime. The first difference I open works as expected, however if I then go back and try to investigate another difference or the same one again the compare screen remains blank and the element details are from the first element I checked.
This happens in reactive, traditional and service modules. And also is independent of the which developer published the versions.
Steps to reproduce
1. Open a module
2. Compare and merge with another version or file
3. Double click a changed element
4. Go back to the overview of changed elements
5. Double click the same or another changed element
Another developer experienced the same behaviour in ODC as well.
After submitting a support ticket, we got quick response and a fix for Service Studio (OS11) is available: Version 11.55.72 / Build 64874. After rebooting my laptop, the fix version was automatically installed via the automatic updates from Forge.Amazing how fast the fix has been delivered!
There were two fixes released yesterday, 64874 that fixed the merge issues, and then 64883, which also fixes the copy/paste bug that was doing the rounds recently. So I'd suggest you also install that version if you haven't got it already.
Also note that you can temporarily switch off the auto-update, then in the Help menu you got a "Check for updates" option (no idea why they don't always just show that).
Hi @Herre Bijl
This is a valid bug. I checked this one and I am also experiencing the same issue.
Thanks
Sudip
It seems to be related to the service studio version. My colleague is still on version 11.55.69 and does not have this issue.
Even in ODC Studio I am facing this issue. May be related to version. I am using ODC Studio 1.7.8
Thanks,
This bug is critically affecting our work: we can not do planned peer reviews anymore.
Is there any acknowledgement from OutSystems and expectation when a new Studio release version will solve this bug?
PS we raised a support case for this (OS11).
Hi @Herre Bijl , hope you're doing well. I encountered the same issue after updating to ODC 1.7.8. I’ve submitted a support ticket already; you may want to raise one as well so the issue gets addressed with higher priority.
Thanks & regards!
With the latest version of Service Studio I was having the same issue, after I installed the previous one, it's working now
