You can install Lifetime in any environment you want (either one you're already using or a dedicated one). Each environment runs its own deployment controller service.

Some more details regarding the taxonomy:
An infrastructure is your whole factory which has one or more environments.
An environment is where your applications run. You may have one or many (eg: Dev, QA, Production, ...).
Each environment has one or more servers which correspond to machines (physical or VMs) where your applications run alongside with OutSystems' services. In each environment you'll have one instance of the deployment controller service.
