Automated Lifetime Deployments
Question
We have a client asking if it is possible to do automated application deployments, say from a TEST to PROD environment, rather than manually executing through Lifetime. Does anybody know if it would be possible to use the lifetime SDK to do this, and if this has been done before? Perhaps just execute a deployment plan at a scheduled time...

Hi Dan,

I'm not sure about the LifeTime SDK but you can try to use a regression tool (similar to test automator) and simulate the navigation necessary to trigger the deployments.

Hi Dan,

You can also try the Download & Deploy component. After configuring the solution or application to deploy, you can change the schedule of its timer to automatically start the deployment.

Disclaimer: I wouldn't use it to deploy anything automatically to production though... :)
