Issues when coming back to a web screen with combo boxes filters

Question

I have a customer list web screen with combo boxes to filter the list. I fill the combo boxes with simple queries. The variable that holds it values are session variables. But when I go to the detail page and go back with the back button or navigation link I can't maintain the user selection. I have try everything without success. Little help please. Thanks
